Riar Farm: Success Via Modern Agriculture And Dairy Farming

I am Amandeep Ringh Riar from Nangal Jhowar Village, Batala Tehsil, Batal District in Punjab. There are 4 members in my family, my wife and two sons. I own 32 acres of land in which I plant sugarcane in 20 acres and I plant wheat and paddy in 12 acres. I have 6 cows and 3 calves for the dairy purposes of the household and I also sell the milk. I grow the fodder such as, Barseem and Jaun in winters and bajra, Chri and Makki in summers. I have engaged two persons who help me in my work. I have most of the modern agricultural implements such as 2 tractors (Arjun-605 and Ford-3600), disc cultivator, rotavator, leveler, trolley and electricity generator.

There is a lot of problem faced by the farmers in selling their produce. I personally face a lot of problems in selling sugarcane, wheat and paddy. The price for the crops is very less and farmers have to suffer a lot. I want that in future, the governmental agencies should take up the cause of the farmers. I want to make efforts in future to help streamline the procurement process.
